Sean G's Amputee Dating Success StoryHey everyone, my name is Sean, and I'm from New Jersey (right outside of the city). I had some on/off relationships in my younger days, but one morning while I was in the shower, just getting ready for work, it hit me. I realized that I wasn't getting any younger! I looked all over the web, read reviews, the whole nine yards. I was a bit skeptical, but for a few bucks I figured it was worth signing up at a dating site, even if just for a few months (I picked chemistry.com). In hindsight, I guess I should have signed up for six months to save a few bucks, but hey, I wasn't really sure what I was getting into. After the first few months I had made contact with over a dozen other people, but I only went on two first dates (and none after that). After about five months, I had been thinking about giving up, and even though I wasn't updating my profile as much, I kept on trucking... and thank god I did! I myself am not an amputee, but I do have a whole variety of other health issues and disabilities. For a while, some of these health problems were holding women back from really getting to know me, but that all changed when Meagan (last name shall remain private thank you very much) sent me a message. She had both of her legs amputated below the knee, and I'll admit, I was reluctant at first. After talking online for a few weeks I started warming up to the idea of dating an amputee, and realized that she could see past my ailments if I could see past hers. We met just over 12 months ago and the rest, as they say, is history. Related Topics: |
